MCLEAN, Virginia - A recent survey from Hilton Hotels found that today's guests, particularly meeting attendees and business travelers enjoy down time to recharge and unplug after a long day of travel or back-to-back meetings. Travelers also reported that they value in-person connections. Hilton, which has nearly a million guest rooms worldwide, says it answers this call with re-energized bars that feature locally inspired menus, craft cocktails, beer, spirits and light bites for travelers.

Hilton Austin's Cannon + Belle is a whiskey lover's dream. Located in the hotel lobby, this full-service restaurant features a "Bourbon Bar' that speaks to all whiskey drinkers, from novice to expert. Patrons can jump on the "Whiskey Trail" the bar's twist on the classic flight option and choose four styles to sample, including Kentucky Bourbon, Japanese Whiskey, Rye Whiskey or American Bourbon.

At Hilton Cleveland Downtown, be prepared for a satirical experience at the Prohibition-themed bar created in the spirit of Eliot Ness, an American Prohibition agent famous for his attempt to take down a notorious mobster. Two must haves the Smoking Gun Old Fashioned, which consists of Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon, and the Great Lakes Brewing Co. Eliot Ness beer.

Terrazza 241 at Hilton Lake Como is known not only for its picturesque views of the most beautiful lake in the world, but also for its rendition of two classic cocktails. Pinky Colada is this bar's take of the ultimate tropical drink, the Pia Colada - invented at Caribe Hilton in the 1950s enriched with watermelon liqueur. The second the Smoked Negroni draws both travelers and locals alike by combining thyme-infused gin, Campari bitters and red vermouth, smoked with thyme, for a seductive and aromatic blend that pairs perfectly with a beautiful Lake Como sunset.

At Hilton San Francisco Union Square, bar goers can grab a 1919, an ode to Hilton's milestone 100th anniversary, at Cityscape Lounge, a bar some movie fanatics may recognize from the 1972 film What's Up Doc. If looking for a local brew, Urban Tavern offers a curated list of hyper-local craft beers along with Chef Sean Leone's famous "Mama Leone's Butter Cake," the chef's family recipe that has become a staple on the Urban Tavern's dessert menu.

For gin lovers, The Duniway Portland a Hilton Hotel is a must. "Top Chef Masters" winner Chef Chris Cosentino's Jackrabbit restaurant and bar offers a menu rooted in authenticity, adventure and luxury, and boasts the largest selection of specialty gins in the city. For those looking to enjoy a real showstopper, the Millionaire Martini will do the trick, a sophisticated drink made with Nolet's Reserve Gin, vermouth and gold flake.
